God In Us - To Us - Through Us

Author : Fred Fishburne
God is more than a cup of blessing. He is the Blesser. He is more than a drink of living water. He is the life giver. He is more that the fruit of the lips. He is the Husbandman. He is more that a word of encouragement and help. He is the God of all hope. He is more than an act of compassion. He is the Father of all mercies. Praise His Name.God is all that He is to us through the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. Ephesians 3:20 states, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."Psalm 62:11-12 states, "God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: That power belongeth unto God, also unto thee O Lord belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work."If we are willing to continually humble ourselves to the works of righteousness, God will render unto us and through us His power and mercy.May we all remember that we do not do work for God but He does work through us. We are not His helpers, but His servants. He is our helper. Hebrews 13:5-6 states, :Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have for he hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man can do unto me."God sent the Holy Spirit to help us carry out the command from the throne and also to pick us up when we fall. The command is to great to carry out in our own strength, so we must rely on the Holy Ghost, the source of all power and mercy to help us. God chose to take upon Himself flesh by Christ Jesus and enter into the feeling of our infirmities; yet without sin so that he can be our faithful high priest saying, "Come boldly unto the throne of grace and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16)Psalm 103:13-14 also states, "Like as a father pitieth his children so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. For he knoweth our frame, he remembereth that we are dust."God takes dust and adds living water, making clay and fashions us into the body of Christ, the image of His Son, a vessel of honor, fit for the Master's use in the earth and of the earth. Praise His Name for ever. Amen.Fred Fishburne has been serving the Lord since 1980. He was called by God in 1983 to New Life Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia.
