Car Sales and Home Sales Trends do not mean Aftermarket Gold Mines

When car sales hit 17 million for several straight years and new homes sold over 43 million in four years this was no guarantee that those in sub sectors of after market sales and complimentary products and services would achieve the same bonanza. Just because there is a known trend in the building and service industry of between 4000 and 6500 dollars, which is spent on upgrades and in additions to new homes or many dollars spent by the owners of new cars does not mean that industries and companies associated with those upgrades, services and those additions are automatically entitled to and will automatically receive the reward's of the trends of previous periods.You see things change you cannot make linear decisions based on trends, which have additional components of those trends, which are dissimilar in nature from previous causes of actions. This is why people who sell aftermarket auto accessories such has; auto CD players, GPS units, surrounds sound stereos, sunroofs, fancy rams, window tenting, high end detailing or even car washing will see such sellers of goods and services track the trends of yesterday and automatically be allowed to exploit and track those trends into tomorrow's periods without a slight adjustment of marketing strategy coupled with new innovation and a unique way to differentiate what these companies have to offer to the consumer, because in this particular economy where money is a little tighter and consumers are at the end of their rope and money flow is slower due to money supply moving to other countries, they are going to have to beat out their competitor in order to collect the unit of trade we call the dollar.I can certainly tell you that many companies are trying to exploit such a trend. We are being called by marketing companies who tell us they have lists to sell us of new consumers moving into the area, new business networks and other lists which can help us get more sales. However I can also tell you that previously these trends had resulted in very good numbers for us such as a 3% return on direct mail pieces that today we are lucky to achieve a third of that number. Yes 1% is very good for direct mail pieces but also there is a point of diminishing returns after the direct mail piece has gone out to the same people. Then we find ourselves in a super discounting game to try to attract customers and if the price gets below what we can offer good service for our brand name and image becomes as worthless as Donald Trump's latest fire'ee or the latest to be pushed off the stage and the Reality TV Series we call the Democrat Caucuses?www.parthe.net/_cwg0703/0000004f.htmNow does this mean we will have to lower the price to the point that an American does not want the job at the price we are paying so it is now available to a resident alien, now documented alien? And thus a member of the human race surely, but cannot conform to the customs of a civilized society, such as speak the language? Believe me there is no bigotry here, but we are seeing a comedy of errors for our inability to find enough people involved in the flows of our civilization to put it all together.Just because you have a major trend does not mean you are automatically allowed to capitalize on it or that the money will pour out in all directions to your giant funnel because you are in a sub market or sub sector of that trend.
