Five Reasons You Will Never Be Successful

Author : Mike Wyman
Do you think you have what it takes to become a success? Most of us think that success will come easily as long as we put in a little effort and take some action to get there. The reality is that most of us will never achieve the level of success that we so desperately are seeking. Here are the top five reasons that you will never be successful.Reason #1: You give up too quickly.
How much time does it take to become successful? While it varies greatly, most successful people work at it for years and years. As one entrepreneur said, "After ten years of hard work, I became an instant overnight success." The hard part is to keep going after years of struggle and setbacks. If you manage to put a directed effort into your chosen profession, combined with a never-give-up attitude, you have a good chance at making your life a success.Reason #2: You continue to do the same things day after day.
When first starting out, many individuals and companies start doing things in one way and continue to do so until they decide that it doesn't work and give up. If you can't adapt to the changing world, you might as well give up right here and now. One of the keys to being successful is to take the difficult first step and try to make your business idea work. Failure comes when you don't modify your action plan to make it better one step at a time. Always make sure that you learn from your mistakes and modify your approach and you can't lose as long as you stick with it long enough.Reason #3: You don't believe in what you are doing.
This is obvious to some people but often it is a common cause of failure. When an individual gets stuck doing something they don't believe in or are not passionate about, the end result can rarely be success. You need to find something that really makes you wake up in the morning feeling good about it to be successful. Until then, you are destined to fail.Reason #4: You take constructive criticism to heart.
This is one of the hard parts about being successful: you often put your ideas and thoughts out there for others to criticize and tear down. If you truly believe in what you are doing, you can easily separate the constructive criticism from the jealous put-downs. Try to be objective and keep your eye on the end goal of becoming successful and you will find yourself opening up to new ideas, even if they come in the form of criticism.Reason #5: You take "NO" for an answer.
There are probably thousands of business deals that started out as a "NO". The vast majority of people accept this as part of doing business. The truly successful people refuse to accept it and continue pressing until they reach a win-win agreement with their counterpart. If you accept "NO" at the first negotiation, you might as well pack your bags and start working for someone else. So, can you conquer these five barriers to success? You can, and easier than you think. The hard part is sticking to your guns when everyone seems to be against you. Keep your head up and if you truly believe in what you are doing, you will find other business people of a similar mindset who you can help and will help you achieve your goals.Mike Wyman is co-creator of the online dating website for golfers, DateAGolfer.com and PuttingForPar.com, a golf website specializing in personalized ball markers.
